02. How to take photos
After analyzing the space and desired effect, we can use three basic lighting methods to carry out lighting design.
1. Ambient lighting – basic lighting
Basic lighting means that people can move easily and safely in the space, and can show the characteristics of the space, make the space look larger, and make the space more comfortable by balancing the brightness of the space surface. The general lighting that illuminates the lower objects and surfaces can create a warm and intimate feeling, while the indirect lighting that illuminates the ceiling and walls can make the space look more rational, quiet and spacious.
2. Accent lighting – one to illuminate a special area
Focus lighting can attract eyeballs, enhance the effect and arouse people’s interest.
The light effect from the front pavement is better than that from the top of the head, because the light from the front pavement makes the facial expression very integrated, while the light from the top of the head will make the prominent part of the face very bright, the concave position is very dark, and the contrast between light and dark is too strong
3. Operation lighting I – illuminate the working face
Therefore, according to the reading habits of the room owner, the designer uses the chandelier as the working lighting and installed it at the head of the bed. The angle of the chandelier is adjusted according to the reading posture of the owner. A key element of how to light is where the lighting fixtures are placed, which is particularly important for avoiding glare and light curtain reflection. This is also a decisive factor to emphasize or weaken the texture expression of the object surface, as shown in the figure:
