3、 How to light
By analyzing the space and desired effects, three basic lighting methods can be used for lighting design
1. Environmental Lighting – Basic Lighting
Basic lighting means that people can move easily and safely in the space, and can indicate the characteristics of the space, making it appear larger, and making the space more comfortable by balancing the surface brightness of the space.
General lighting that illuminates lower objects and surfaces can create a warm and intimate feeling, while indirect lighting that illuminates ceilings and walls makes the space appear more rational, quiet, and spacious.
For example, the bedroom in the picture uses light strips to indirectly illuminate the ceiling and walls, making the space appear quieter and more spacious;
